Asharqia Chamber and the Social Development Bank conclude the "Saudi Empretec" program.

The Bank of Social Development, in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce, represented by the Women Empowerment Center, concluded the 'Empretec Saudi Arabia' program on Thursday, September 7, 2023. The program is one of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development's (UNCTAD) initiatives designed for entrepreneurs. It aims to develop entrepreneurial skills that contribute to project development, competitiveness, and local project development.

The program, which was held for the second time as part of the Women Entrepreneurs initiative, spanned over 6 days and featured several professional trainers. It saw the participation of 32 male and female entrepreneurs. The program was designed to develop and enhance personal entrepreneurial capabilities, as well as to build micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in a sustainable and competitive manner to create wealth, local development, job opportunities, and community improvement.

The training program focuses on acquiring and enhancing the entrepreneurial behaviors needed by business owners to support them in improving the efficiency and competitiveness of their businesses, both locally and internationally. This was achieved through participation in a training workshop that focused on building successful entrepreneurial behaviors. The program was scientifically designed to observe and strengthen an individual's entrepreneurial potential to build dynamic projects capable of competing both locally and internationally.

The workshop discussed the hypothesis that the desire to establish successful projects or companies is a social behavior that may exist in individuals and can be activated as a clear behavior through appropriate training methods. The workshops aimed to familiarize business owners and entrepreneurs with the patterns of successful entrepreneurial behavior so that they can identify, recognize, and evaluate these patterns in themselves and others. This enables them to strengthen the necessary behaviors for managing their own businesses.

The training workshops conducted within the program aimed to clarify the difference between managing routine work and establishing an institution based on the concept of continuous growth. They encouraged networking, information, and experience exchange among participants, highlighted their strengths and weaknesses thoughtfully, and helped create comprehensive business plans to increase their chances of success.

Furthermore, the workshops aimed to establish a culture of continuous learning among participants, develop their ability to understand changes and updates in the job market, and adapt to them. They also aimed to build a communication network among program graduates, both locally and internationally, and enhance the participants' inclination and capabilities to identify commercial business opportunities, set challenging goals, deal with complex situations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
